Dual-Polarized Two-Dimensional Multibeam Antenna Array With Hybrid Beamforming and its Planarization

A feeding network crossing method is proposed to form an N $\times $ dual-polarized two-dimensional multibeam antenna array (2D-MBAA) with analog-digital hybrid beamforming, which solves the problem of needing additional connection structure between and analog for large-scale arrays. The main design work focused on analog-beamformer (ABF) two structures are proposed. One vertical-crossed (VC) ABF other parallel-crossed (PC) ABF, latter a more complex in exchange significantly reduced profile. As verification, $4\times 4$ 2D-MBAA PC-ABF has been fabricated tested. It operated at 3.45GHz bandwidth about 10%, it can realize scanning angle ±45°.
